glut and the Qt::QOpenGLWidget class provide similar OpenGL window creation
facilities with a callback framework. The clean Qt object oriented design, the powerful GUI creation tools
it provides and some of its functionalities (framebuffer grabbing, image format abstraction...) made us adopt Qt.
